I'm a Brazilian musician, producer and audio engineer with over 2 decades of combined experience in songwriting, performing, producing, recording, mixing, mastering, live sound, podcasts and radio.
I don't separate Gabi the musician from Gabi the engineer.
They are enmeshed, working together towards a common goal: bringing a song to life.
Which is really just a poetic way of saying my artist and engineer portfolios are intertwined, as you can see below:
As an artist,
I often engineer and play most of the instruments on my productions, like my original song:
I combine my musicality with my engineering skills to help other artists achieve their sonic visions.

As a recording engineer,
I make the best use of the tools available to help other producers and artists translate their musical ideas into recorded sounds.
O Ar
by Fresno is a good example of using creative mic techniques to create a sonic representation of the idea behind the song, filling up the stereo field with a single acoustic guitar take and capturing the harmonics on the piano using it as a true percussion instrument.
Recorded at Dark Matter, São Paulo, Brazil
As a live sound engineer,
I learned signal flow, gain staging and what all those little knobs do, so artists can hear themselves on stage and effectively communicate their art to the audience.
I’ve worked as a stage tech, technical director, front of house and monitor engineer for a variety of Brazilian artists including Ema Stoned, Der Baum, Pin Ups and Luisa Sonza.
My live sound skills have also come in handy while recording live performances for Youtube videos in a studio setting.
